  • sheville.org: A page of interest to the women of Asheville and Western North Carolina. Sheville.org is an electronic magazine with features for women, the community, environment, the arts, and an extensive business directory.
  • Asheville Friends of Astrology: This is my home group. To date, we are a somewhat anarchistic group of astrology enthusiasts who meet once a month, without dues and membership, but with a program and interests.
  • Nick Campion: Nick is one of my fellow Kepler professors, and there's no link stronger for us than that of team teaching. Nick's pages focus on the history of astrology.
  • Lee's Computer Page: My other incarnation is as a computer systems analyst. Don't know what that is? Find out!

Links for Student Web Pages:

  • These are web pages from my students. Only those who have completed at least half of a course are included.
  • Chris Warnock's Renaissance Astrology Page: Horary Graduate Chris has an interesting triple major: the law, magic and astrology.
  • Katarina Campagnola's Page: Katarina is now a graduate of Kepler College, as well as a Horary Graduate.
  • Nicki Michael's Page: Horary Graduate Nicki has some good reference material which should be useful to any astrologer, and she is a professionally certified coach (PCC). You'll see her as the Astro Coach in The Mountain Astrologer.

  • Kepler College: authorized to grant the M.A., B.A. and A.A. degrees in Astrological Arts and Sciences.
  • A.R.H.A.T. Publications: a source for new translations of Moldy Oldies. Also Rob Hand's web page.
  • Diana Rosenberg's Fixed Stars and Constellations: Diana has been doing fixed star research for years. Some good resources here.
  • The Avalon School of Astrology: The Avalon School of Astrology provides comprehensive training that prepares students for a career in the field of astrology. Both full-time and part-time programs are available. The full-time program requires 16 months to complete, and consists of foursemesters of study and 900 hours of classroom study. The Avalon School of Astrology is located in Gainesville, Florida. The program of study is very intensive and academically challenging, and an average student must study for two hours for each hour of classroom time. I teach history and classical methods there.
  • The Astrologers' Memorial Page: Donna Cunningham has provided an outstanding service for the astrological community in providing a resource with biographies of those in our community who have gone before.
  • Anna Estaroth & Friends: Find out what's happening in Scotland, land of my maternal ancestors, and pretty good folk in their own right!
  • Astrodienst: a place for looking up longitudes, latitudes, and time zones.

  • 120 Aphorisms for Astrologers by Abraham ibn Ezra: There are also additional resources at the U.K. Skyscript site.
  • The assassination of Domitian: This site by Nicholas Whyte gives some of the astrological background concerning the assassination of the Roman Emperor Domitian in 96 CE.
  • Gordon Fisher Home Page on the history of astrology: The major section from our standpoint is his Part One: Marriage and Divorce of Astronomy and Astrology: A History of Astral Prediction from Antiquity to Newton. That, however, is only Part One!
  • Hellenistic Astrology: This page has excellent bibliographical references on the history of astrology.
  • The Planets and Their Children: The planets and their children were a major allegorical theme in Medieval art.
  • The Star of Bethlehem: This is Michael Molnar's site. He is the author of The Star of Bethlehem: The Legacy of the Magi and his academic career has odd parallels with mine: he as a Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin (I have a B.S. from U. Wsconsin-Green Bay) and then he taught at Rutgers, where I got my Ph.D. This is probably just coincidence.
  • The Warburg Institute: The Warburg Institute has published notable works on the history of science, including the history of astrology.
