On Ambulence Chasing

Recently, I posted a blog entry delineation of the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords and others in Tucson, AZ, focusing on the angle that the shooting could be used specifically as a decumbiture for Giffords, as the target of the shooting. I had posted the link up on my Facebook page, and one of my friends, who is not an astrologer, but is in the medical profession, had some questions and concerns about the propriety of the post. The purpose of this piece is to consider her concerns, and to discuss the issue of the ambulance chasing that virtually all astrologers and students of astrology do.

Here is a list of the station points for the planet Mercury by date in the Gregorian (NS) calendar system. Zodiacal position by longitude and time of day of the station point in the US Eastern Time Zone is shown for one-hundred-fifty years: ad 1900 to 2050. The calculations were performed by the Solar Fire Gold (version 7) computer program using the Swiss Ephemeris.

The void-of-course Moon has been listed as a debility (weakened) since Arabic times. However, listing it as debilitated is one thing: coming up with a cogent meaning is another. What did the ancients mean by believing it weakened? What continuity is there with modern astrology thinking? And, how can we use these ideas in application? These are the issues this article will attempt to address.
